It is crucial to highlight that, over time, like any refractory material, our wedges will experience wear. However, the layer with the highest resistance, the first layer facing the fire, has a considerably longer lifespan and wears less easily. When it’s time to replace the lining due to reaching the minimum thickness, the majority of the material to be discarded will be much more economical than that of the first layer, which provides greater protection.
In addition to this material efficiency, our wedges have the advantage of lower density. This results in better thermal insulation and a significant reduction in heat loss, leading to additional energy savings.
