During February and March of this year 2023, we carried out a series of demolition works, installation of metal anchors, installation of the new refractory lining, and drying in the two boilers of the SIRUSA plant, following the stages that have been perfected over the years.
Stages of Maintenance of the Urban Waste Incineration Plant:
• Inspection with the customer to detect the affected areas.
• Demolition of the agreed refractory panels.
• Blasting of the surfaces to be repaired to remove any residue of old material.
• Welding of anchors in the membrane area (between tube and tube).
• Formwork of the walls, followed by pouring of the refractory material.
• Gunning of the agreed areas.
Gunning is carried out in certain areas, either due to geometry, working conditions, or execution time, as well as in areas that need to be raised, that is, increase the thickness of the coating.
• Installation of special silicon carbide bricks.
• Drying of the installed materials according to the drying curve.
The drying curve is defined by TEIDE, conducting a study and offering the best solution based on the type and quantity of material placed.
Once the maintenance is completed, the corresponding technical report is carried out, including the plan with the impact of the shutdown.
