TEIDE REFRACTORY SOLUTIONS R&D Department has developed new qualities in light cordierite for applications in kiln cars of sanitary ware and porcelain.
This qualities consists of very light materials, with low density, a good mechanical resistance for its use, and great capacity of insulation heat.
After an intensive research work it has been developed an specific formulation, a refined productive process, to obtain fashioned pieces with densities up to 0,89 kg/cm3 in cordierite-mullite qualities.
These materials are combined with existing ones to bring a complete range of solutions for kiln cars of low thermal mass, which allow great performance due to its low energy consumption.
